In pairs, they are required to create a song with an underlying theme. They must use creativity and expression. The purpose is to communicate a message through song. Once these are completed, the students may present their songs to the class. They may use body language, facial expressions or dance to accompany their songs.
This activity requires intercultural competency as it is talking about Indigenous language. The students must be respectful and appreciate the language. You must also talk about how so much of Aboriginal language has been lost over these years due to European settlement.
